What We Do

Your Health Freedom Utah was organized in 2015, in response to proposed legislation curtailing the ability of parents to choose appropriate health interventions for their children--a bill which had flown through the Utah State House and into the State Senate with no opposition, We killed that bill, and then realized that government interference in private health decisions was not going away. We were right!

Our mission is to educate parents and policymakers; to support the individual right to informed consent in all aspects of health and privacy; and to propel our political and social landscapes toward health freedom. The fight is on!

For the past 9 years, YHF has been run entirely by volunteers. All funds raised by our organization have funded educating citizens and policymakers about health freedom. We currently do this in several ways:

  1. Crafting effective, necessary legislation, stopping destructive legislation, and year-round discussions with lawmakers.

  2. Annual Symposium featuring world-renowned researchers and teachers.

  3. Policy lunches, where we educate groups of policymakers on issues surrounding health sovereignty and data privacy.

  4. Public awareness-raising events (as pictured).

For maximum impact, locally and nationally, we have just restructured our organization, creating an advisory board, more volunteer positions, reorganized into an LLC, and have applied for 501c3 status; and we are professionalizing our website. Now, we need your help!

Your donations to Your Health Freedom Utah will:

  • Hire assistants to reduce the workload on our full-time volunteer team. Our hardworking volunteer executive team currently spends many hours watching bills; researching; making speaker arrangements; doing data entry; posting on social media; and other tasks that could be shifted to an assistant.

  • Fund events, research, marketing, and advocacy. Our annual costs for events, operations, legal fees, etc., rose from around $20,000 in 2022 to $25,000 in 2023. Our policy events, emails, symposium, and other advocacy have made a critical difference in the political landscape and community building over the past 9 years.

  • Creating a life-changing internship program. It is critical to involve youth in the protection of our freedoms. Our internship program will help educate and involve new leaders in the movement.
